The United States leads the world in developing artificial intelligence (AI) and monetizing the technology, according to recent data analysis from Stanford University. China is second in the field, and India is third. The scores for this ranking were calculated by evaluating a range of AI data points during the period from 2017 to 2021, including numbers of patents, journal publications and industry employment.
