Select a Help topic from the menu at the left. Click on "Help Main Menu" to view other help descriptions and information about the CQ Public Affairs Collection.
The Favorite Documents Page lists up to 25 documents saved as "favorites" in the CQ Public Affairs Collection.
If you have logged in using a 'Your Profile' account, the Favorite Documents page will display only the documents viewed under that profile.
If you have not logged in using a 'Your Profile' account, the Favorite Documents page will display documents viewed while logged into the main account purchased by your Library or Institution.
Documents can be saved to the Favorite Documents list from the following pages:
1. Document Window - click on the "Save to Favorite Documents" check box at the top left of the screen. This box will remain checked as long as the Document remains in the Favorite Documents list.
2. Search Results - click on the check box next to the document title and press "Save Marked Records to Favorites" at the top of the page.
In each case, a pop-up box will appear to acknowledge that the document has been saved to the Favorite Documents list.
Marking records helps you to manage your Favorite Documents List. Click on the check box to the left of the Document Title to Mark the record.
To remove documents from Favorite Documents, click on the check box to the left of the Document Title to Mark the record then click on "Remove Marked Records" at the top of the page.
To e-mail documents:
1. Mark the document(s) you wish to e-mail by clicking on the check box next to each Document Title.
2. Click on "E-mail Marked Records"
3. Complete the e-mail form and press send. Below is a description of the fields in the e-mail form.
Field Description To Enter the e-mail address of the recipient. You may send the list to more than one e-mail address by separating e-mail addresses with a comma. This is a mandatory field. From Enter your e-mail address. This is a mandatory field. Subject line Enter a subject to appear in the subject line of your e-mail (optional). Message Enter a message to appear in the text of the e-mail (optional).
Format of the E-mail
The list of Favorite Documents will arrive as an .rtf (rich text format) attachment. This format can be read using Microsoft Word or WordPerfect. Each document in the list will be displayed in APA citation style.
