The Prevention and Public Health Fund, created by the Affordable Care Act in 2010, has been underfunded since its inception and will see its funding phased out by 2028, according to the Trust for America's Health, a nonprofit that advocates for policies that support public health. The fund was intended to support “an expanded and sustained national investment in prevention and public health programs.” Figures for 2021-2028 are projections.
