The Federal Election Commission (FEC) mandates that candidates running in federal elections collect and disclose information on campaign donations. The FEC in turn publishes those detailed disclosures regularly for thousands of candidates per election cycle. U.S. Political Stats allows users to find candidate-specific data in a number of disclosure categories, aggregate data by office, and data across candidates, across time. In U.S. Political Stats, FEC data on federal election candidates goes back to the 2008 election cycle.
