Help: Member Biography Box Score

The Member Biography Box Score is a feature that opens in the Document Window any time a member biography is opened. The box score includes the member's name, positions and dates of service, and various demographic and personal information, including

  • religion
  • education
  • political background
  • military service
  • previous occupations
  • election record

Under Election Record users will find the year in which the member was elected or reelected and the percentage of the vote that the member received in the general election that year.

The Member Biography Box Score also contains links to the member's official Web site, if one exists, to the member's record on CQ Key Votes, to interest group ratings of the member, and to financial information available from The Center for Responsive Politics (http://www.OpenSecrets.org). The Center for Responsive Politics is a nonpartisan, nonprofit research organization dedicated to tracking and studying the role of money in politics.
